In Nike Direct, the Connected Marketplace team is responsible for empowering business with insights to optimize Dynamic Partner Programs, Member Experiences, New Commerce & Pure Play initiatives that amplify, scale, accelerate and complement Nike Marketplace vision.
We are looking for a Connected Marketplace Optimization Insights Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the Connected Marketplace business team to translate strategic business questions & pilots into testable hypothesis and drive experimentation analysis based on key strategic business questions, focusing on findings & optimization. In support of key central initiatives, you will deeply understand the business priorities and help develop a prioritized testing roadmap of short term and long-term work that will help unleash insight into the value of our partnerships and opportunities to optimize and grow business. Embracing your entrepreneurial spirit, you will balance your strategic thought partnership with your can-do approach and technical skills, digging into the data and delivering key insights.
This role requires a unique combination of attributes! You are equally comfortable exploring data sets and building data visualization as you are discussing future strategies and partnerships. We need you to be effective in complex organizations and have superb communication and presentation skills. You should feel comfortable working with multiple partners and have a collaborative yet assertive approach. You are technically and analytically savvy and know how to synthesize data into impactful key insights. A passion for and understanding of the digital platform / new commerce landscape is a must! You are comfortable with ambiguity plus a creative, roll-up-your-sleeves willing to take action demeanor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a SME for high impact testing and pilots to drive optimization and Marketplace efficiencies with the main focus to influence sound decision making, project & return on investment validation, valuable insight into what drives improvements for our critical metrics.
- Use data and analytics to measure performance of digital partnership activations and influence future strategies and partnerships.
- Conduct a range of analytics, including deep-dive projects and pilot performance analytics to translate data into relevant insights.
- Collaborate with business partners to validate hypotheses, define critical metrics, size opportunities, prioritize & design tests.
- Communicate and share test results, insights, and provide measurable recommendations to business.
- Partner with Global & Geo teams to influence test development aligned with Digital Partnerships priorities with appropriate prioritization for maximum business and consumer value.
- Develop and document testing playbook and standard methodologies to ensure multi-functional and Global/Geo consistency and alignment.
- Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Behavioral Sciences, Business, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Marketing. Advanced degree preferred, but not required.
- 5+ years of professional level experience in a related role.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and implementing A/B, MVT or incrementality tests required.
- Relevant professional experience with an emphasis on Digital Commerce or Digital Platforms / Services.
- Solid understanding of fundamental concepts in probability and statistics, such as confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Passion for business analytics and working with large amounts of data with demonstrated ability to use data to influence decision making.
- Solid ability to work multi-functionally in hypothesis generation, experiment selection, designing of experiments, setting success/failure criteria, rapid prototyping of concepts through testing required.
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop impactful recommendations required.
- Superb communication and presentation skills to a variety of audiences.
- Good project management capabilities to manage multiple tests and pilots with a focus on prioritization and business impact.
- Demonstrable experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in multi-functional teams, including demonstrated success in managing and influencing without direct authority.
- A good understanding of advanced analytic techniques, particularly related to measuring consumer & business outcomes in a digital commerce setting.
- Fluency in SQL and experience with clickstream tools including Adobe Analytics / Omniture, Google Analytics or Optimizely.
- Experience with Business Intelligence, Analytics and Data Visualization tools, e.g. Tableau.
