Who we are looking for
As our Lead Writer for the Global Jordan Brand Consumer Direct Creative Studio, you will help define and drive the implementation of our Brand voice across our seasonal, weekly, and daily content mix to inspire the next generation! An effective communicator, youre clear, concise and purposeful, whether rallying people around an idea or delineating logistical specifics. You thrive in situations of ambiguity and will often solve for contending priorities. As a collaborative and discerning creative leader, youre able to constructively intake and problem-solve partner feedback, while preserving the individual spirit of each project, and the voice and vision of the Jordan Brand Studio at large.
What you will work on
You will deliver outstanding copywriting in service of the Jordan Brand Creative Studio, across full Brand Marketing dimensions, with results ranging from engaging quick-turn copy for .com, apps, and social media to in-depth features, campaign and scriptwriting. You will define and develop the POV for 365 editorial. You will work closely with design, creative, and marketing counterparts to concept, create, and deliver holistic, Omni-channel Brand messaging and editorial. You will support the Global Jordan Brand at-large in a multitude of ways with a variety of outputs, from consumer-facing storytelling to internal Brand, business, and product planning,. You will keep us relevant, while maintaining our storied Brand integrity. You will obsess the nuances of cross-medium storytelling. You will strategize and execute against varying priorities across key cities around the globe.
Who you will work with?
You will work within the Jordan Design organization, but will work cross-functionally with teams and teammates across global design, concepts, creative, marketing, merchandising, and retail. You will most closely collaborate with the Director of the Creative Studio, Studio Art Director, Digital Design, Writers, and Marketing partners.
What you bring to Nike
* 6+ years writing in editorial, branded content, advertising, or journalismspecifically, for a publisher, agency, or brand
* An obsessive curiosity and passion for sport and cultureyou will stay on the frontlines of the latest cultural developments + trends
* Portfolio of editorial writing for digital platforms, displaying a distinctive voice, experienced command of style and tone, and impeccable eye for detail.
* A respect and mastery for traditional mediums and methods of storytelling and a steadfast curiosity
* Proficient in hands-on research, reporting, interviewing, writing and copy-editing for a wide variety of formats and audiences.
* Understanding of writing within a brand organization, and how to translate business priorities into highly engaging consumer-facing content.
* Experience across online, print, and UX writing, with a solid understanding of content platforms.
* Strong time management with ability to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously.
* Entrepreneurial spirit with proactive approach to identifying and acting on ways to improve the workpaired with a meticulous attention to detail
* Can-do attitude with proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative brilliance
