The Reliability Engineer - Specialist is responsible for providing reliability and maintenance engineering leadership and support to ensure optimum business performance in equipment, systems, documentation and asset utilization in utilizing, risk-based asset management (RBAM), predictive and preventative maintenance, and lean/six sigma principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning reliability maintenance projects with the business objectives around Safety, Compliance and Cost. The Reliability Engineer must be able to self-identify opportunities for improvement and execute with minimal supervision.

This position is a 1st shift position with the potential for infrequent off shift work as needed to support business results and is expected to work as an independent member of an integrated team focused on achieving the teams objectives, vision, and goals.

Primary Responsibilities

* Update process and utility equipment data, Preventive Maintenance, Task Lists and diagnostic methods as necessary to improve reliability

* Perform general troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment in support of the production schedule

* Compile and review data to develop equipment and/or utility specific action plans for critical assets to improve reliability and reduce product costs

* Manage predictive maintenance program

* Conduct Maintenance effectiveness / optimization reviews

* Initiate and execute Trackwise change controls

* Adjust preventative maintenance plans and equipment information as appropriate based on trends, approved changes, and/or business requirements

* Complete Monthly Trending in SAP for Equipment Failures

* Ensure appropriate spare part inventories are established and maintained

* Update/create Equipment Maintenance SOPs as appropriate based on trends, changes, and/or business requirements

* Analyzes calibration, maintenance, and equipment performance and work orders to identify trends with an emphasis on reducing reactive work and increasing reliability

* Identifies revisions, deletions, or additions to the calibration and maintenance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that calibration and maintenance activities are completed in accordance with established safety, GMP, and calibration/maintenance procedures

* Support safety programs (LOTO, HECP, etc.) and environmental compliance from a maintenance perspective

* Collaborates with the production area maintenance technicians and engineers to maintain all production equipment

Education Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering, Science or related field

Required Experience and Skills

* Minimum of two years in a production and/or calibration and/or maintenance background

* Analytical and problems solving skills with regard to electrical, automation and / or mechanical equipment and their use within a manufacturing process

* Demonstrated experience maintaining and/or servicing equipment

* Demonstrated use of Reliability analysis tools such as FMEA and RCFA

* Strong planning, scheduling, and time management skills

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* GMP compliant calibration and maintenance databases

* Project management experience including change control and equipment qualification

Preferred Experience and Skills

* Working knowledge of regulatory requirements in accordance with GMP manufacturing operations

* Formal problem solving techniques, such as root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), and/or Lean Six Sigma tools

* Automation and manufacturing execution system (MES), process modeling and process improvement

* Deviation management, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing anomalies
