Description:
The Deputy Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall cost, schedule and technical execution of contractual requirements related to the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lot 2/3 CH-53K Production and other LRIP contracts as required.
This leadership role will manage the overall program business plan and perform program management leadership activities for CH-53K production. This includes executing requirements related to key milestones and contractual deliverables.
In addition, this leader will support the LRIP efforts ensuring the positioning and resolution of emerging technical solutions to the production fleet.
The CH-53K Deputy Program Manager (Production) is a critical part of the Program Management Team and will report directly to the Sr. Program Manager, CH-53K Production.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning, Cost and Schedule Management - Oversee key deliverables to the customer in accordance with cost, schedule, quality and technical performance requirements as identified by contract. Approve project requirements, work statements, budgets, schedules and risk management plans.
Subcontract Program Management Manages teams overseeing critical systems for LRIP Lot 2/3 and other LRIP contracts as required. Establishes milestone objectives and manages performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads team normally composed of engineers, quality, procurement and operations personnel.
Risk and Financial Analysis - Develop and actively monitor cost, schedule, risks and opportunities in support of contract execution through the assessment of program issues and risks and the development of resolutions and mitigations. Ensure proactive use of the Risk and Opportunity (R&O) Management tools and processes, integrating R&O into existing rhythms.
Business Metrics - Develop, review and approve project metrics, primarily EVMS, to track project health/stability and provide visibility to the customer and Executive leadership. Administer and implement program management instructions (PMI). Coordinate project reviews, oversee activities initiated by the customer and manage other efforts required to maintain project support. Support the Production Sr. Program Manager in all aspects of program management including internal Lockheed Martin reporting.
Relationship Development Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, teammates and subcontractors. Supports Concurrency team in integration of new designs into production builds as well the support of successful integration of affordability initiatives and changes.
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated capabilities in leading and managing complex aerospace programs or projects. Excellent communication skills
