This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
* Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
* Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
* Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
* Passionate about building an innovative culture
* Strong understanding of Java, Angular, Microservice design patterns, Object Oriented, Functional & Reactive Programming and exposure to Cloud based application development - exposure to AWS and/or Private Cloud would be an added advantage.
* Experience with either Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch, Spring Reactive, Netflix OSS, and Jasmine/Cucumber framework
* Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and related container platform ecosystems, caching products like Hazelcast, Gemfire etc and experience using Jenkins, SonarQube, GIT, Maven, Gradle.
* Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems with expertise in performance profiling, ability to identify performance improvements and memory optimizations and strong understanding of release engineering and continuous delivery process.
* A passion for keeping up-to-date with the latest cloud trends and technologies
* Apache Kafka a plus, proficiency in SQL, preferably across multiple databases - Cassandra/NoSQL database experience preferred.
