Job Summary:

The Sepsis Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who provides support and assists in the delivery of quality patient care for patients at Kendall Regional Medical Center. The primary responsibility of the Sepsis Coordinator is the continuum of care for the sepsis patients. The Sepsis Coordinator will ensure continuity between clinical practice and standards of care to patients with sepsis. The individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses and case managers and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach. This position will serve as a leader, role model and mentor to facilitate each professional providing care to sepsis patients.

This individual will report directly to CNO and VP of Quality and act as an in-house clinical consultant regarding excellence in clinical care for this patient population. The coordinator will be responsible for meeting Joint Commission standards and complying with corporate policy and procedure. The coordinator has responsibility for the development and execution of growth strategies for the service lines. Responsible for performance improvement, P&P, physician relations, program development, education and community outreach strategies.

Qualifications

* FL RN License
* BSN preferred
* Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.
* 1-3+ years of related experience highly preferred
