GDIT is seeking an Ansible Specialist (Engineer) to help support our milCloud 2.0 program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Work collaboratively with the engineering team to create and deploy Ansible solutions for a distributed data center infrastructure environment.
* Develop Ansible playbooks and modules.
* Administer Ansible infrastructure, perform maintenance and configuration and provide SME level support.
* Update system and process documentation and user guides as needed diagrams and SOPs as needed.
* Provide technical support to Ops concerning automation solution usage.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.
Required Qualifications:
* Active TOP SECRET security clearance.
* Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field OR equivalent work experience.
* 5+ years' experience in design, implementation, monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure in a Linux environment.
* 2+ years of experience installing, configuring and supporting RedHat with Ansible.
* 3+ years of solid Linux Administration experience.
* Strong experience with Ansible Core and Ansible Tower.
* Strong experience coding and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Batch files, etc.)
* Strong experience with RHEL 6, RHEL 7, Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 System Administration.
* Strong knowledge of Source Code Control Systems (Git).
* Working knowledge of storage, network, and various OS technologies.
* Proficient with Linux
* Solid understanding of VMware and available interfaces
* Experienced in Creation/modification of Ansible playbooks/roles.
* Experienced in the Creation/modification of Job Templates/Projects/Inventories/workflows and other Ansible Tower Objects
* Development workflow and Representation State Transfer (REST) Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
Desired Qualifications:
* RHCSA and/or RHCE certification
* Architectural planning/implementation for Ansible Tower.
* Strong background in VMWare administration.
* Knowledge of VMWare Integrated Openstack or Openstack.
* Cloud technologies experience
* Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service architecture
* LAN/WAN networking experience
The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
