Cybersecurity Information Assurance Engineer, Mid
Key Roles:
Evaluate and support the documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure that information technology (IT) systems meet the organizations information assurance (IA) and security requirements. Assist in defining organizations desired state and risk thresholds, and analyze actual state information to assess compliance. Work with agency leaders to codify strategic cyber objectives into doctrine, policies, and procedures that can help meet defined objectives. Assist with evaluation of computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs to determine if software assurance best practices are followed. Maintain compliance of custom-built software against stated security policies using code-scanning approaches.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans
-Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting
-Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
-Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degree required
Additional Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with executing certification and accreditation of DoD systems
-Experience with DoD information assurance policies, directives, and STIGs, as applicable to mobile devices
-Experience with using DoD and eMASS systems preferred
-Experience in assessing the organizational risks associated with mobile device implementations and recommending mitigation strategies
-Knowledge of NIST 800 series publications, including 800-30, 800-37, 800-53, and 800-53
-Knowledge of DoD FSO review procedures
-DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ or CISSP
