The Core Frameworks and Performance Team is responsible for building frameworks and enhancing performance of Apple Maps on iOS, OS X, AppleTV, and Apple Watch. The leader of this team will work closely with development teams across Apple to provide the infrastructure required to bring to bear Apples mapping technology suite. Additionally, this team works with all of the Maps Client teams to identify and resolve performance issues ranging from battery, memory, crashes, and CPU utilization. DESCRIPTION The Core Frameworks and Performance Team is responsible for building frameworks and enhancing performance of Apple Maps on iOS, OS X, AppleTV, and Apple Watch. WE BELIEVE OUR ROLE WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: - You will have wide exposure to different teams at Apple beyond the maps team. Almost all non-maps teams that utilize mapping solutions will work with this team. - This is an extraordinary opportunity for managers who like understanding sophisticated SW system. The frameworks team is the glue that ties the client and there cloud services together. This requires a solid understanding of how the entire Map technology stack works. - For non mapping domain candidates this is a great way to get into mapping/navigation. This group is one of the few teams in Maps that doesnt require deep domain expertise in an area of mapping! - You will be directly responsibility for projects that run on iOS. OS X, and Apple Watch to positively craft millions of users daily experiences.
