The Accounts Receivable (AR) team is seeking a creative and passionate Finance Manager with strong commercial credit risk modeling experience, to help us achieve our mission to contribute to funding the flywheel of Amazons virtuous cycle by optimizing the scale, speed, accuracy and productivity of Amazons order-to-cash, while at the same time providing outstanding service to our customers.

The Manager, Credit Risk Solution will be tasked with building and managing credit models and solutions, that inform business decisions. To do so this person will dive deep, leveraging a multitude of data points to identify credit risk proactively while also defining processes and technology solutions that scale. Our team provides credit-monitoring services to Amazons businesses including insight into the risk and performance of portfolios. We are data focused, tech savvy, highly analytical, and knowledgeable about the markets where Amazon operates. This person will be a subject matter expert in the assessment of credit risk and will be the go-to person for peers, management and the wider credit team for credit risk assessment related questions and expertise. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong global knowledge of credit risk, experience with building credit risk models, comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, and able to prioritize effectively while delivering results across simultaneous initiatives and timelines.

Primary responsibilities include:
Identifying, securing data and building data models to proactively uncover credit risk based on analysis of financial ratios, spend patterns, industry trends and other external data sources.
Gaining deep understanding of Amazons business, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve business decision making based on credit risk intelligence.
Defining and documenting requirements for the development of a proprietary credit risk management tool.
Personally conducting complex credit analysis and act as the credit risk subject matter expert for the Finance Operations community, including coaching and training credit analysts.
Becoming a trusted advisor to the Accounts Receivable community, and especially the Collections Teams, for the prioritization of collection activities, based on customers credit risk.
Preparing and presenting documents for business reviews with stakeholders and management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field
6+ years of relevant experience
Global Finance operations experience
Fluent and very comfortable with processing and analyzing data
Excellent credit & financial analysis
Excellent writing skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master in Finance or MBA
Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Quicksight or similar
Must have worked and be comfortable in a matrixed environment where success is achieved through partnership and influencing as opposed to through command
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent project management skills
