Job Description
AK Steel Corporation, an industry leading manufacturer of carbon, stainless and electrical steels, has an immediate need for Customer Account Representatives to join our West Chester, Ohio team. Customer Account Representatives are the central resource for customer support and manage all aspects of the order flow process from project creation through release to manufacturing.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Provide day to day front-line customer support.
* Verify and audit of manufacturing order details, confirm orders have been approved for production, monitor hold queues, manage data files for inter-company transfers,
* Oversee customer accounts, including new customer set up, solicit price inquiries, quote prices, input customer orders and expedite material through our production facilities.
Qualifications:
* 4 year degree in business or related technical field.
* At least three years of experience in a similar business environment.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and manage competing demands.
* Strong Initiative, detail orientation and problem solving skills.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and mainframe applications.
* Previous steel experience in customer service preferred.
