Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time Night Shift
You Will Be Responsible For:
Supervises/monitors staff to ensure that work is properly performed
Creates and reviews schedules. Approves scheduling requests
Documents all work that has been performed such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Regularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to acceptable cleaning practices
Supervises all staff by assigning work, training, hiring evaluation performance, progressive discipline and recommending termination as is appropriate
Resolves patient satisfaction concerns in a timely manner
May be Responsible for Clean Linen Distribution
Maintains all tracking and accountability of linen supplies
Reviews and updates policies and procedures to insure they remain in compliance
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
High School Education or equivalent
Two years of technical experience
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
One year of leadership/management experience
Job Summary:
Provides supervision for the daily functions and activities within environmental services department. Is responsible for supervising EVS staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are met for the hospital and adjacent facilities. Promotes teamwork to ensure work is completed timely and helps maintain an efficient and safe working environment. Assumes responsibility of day, evening or night shift operation of the EVS department and related responsibilities
