Operations Manager II
About the role:

Tasked with leading Operations for our Infection Prevention group. Successful candidate will manage multiple production areas while establishing a culture of accountability to improve plant performance and drive toward continuous growth.

Responsibilities of the Role:

* Produce high quality products, safely, on time for the customer at the lowest cost
* Manufacture products to the highest quality standards and ensure compliance to all Boston Scientific policies and regulations
* Identify customer requirements to deliver the right products at the right time
* Lead and support new product development on the production line
* Anticipate business needs and external market trends in driving department and plant production.
* Drive plant performance by establishing aggressive plant and department cost and budget objectives.
* Captain the cross functional management team in achieving a high engagement & high-performance culture
* Promote safety, quality & compliance among the team while maintaining good manufacturing practices at a high level within the department
* Manage, motivate, develop and involve the production team through coaching and performance management.
* Foster teamwork within the production line/area cross-functional team
* Embed the company values through demonstration & recognition of individual & team behaviors.
* Initiate cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues.
* Establish key business initiatives (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, Shared Leadership, Employee Involvement, etc.) and sponsor involvement, direction and accountability.
* Work cross-functionally to establish, prioritize and ensure accountability to projects in improving department or plant performance (i.e. VIP, STAR, Lean).
* Lead & create engagement around continuous improvement within the production team and cross functional teams
* Achieve continuous improvement goals (safety, quality, service, cost, space, etc.) through the utilization of the business essentials & operational excellence techniques
* Benchmark and share best practices
* Production Team Planning
* Analyze S&OP (Sales & Operating Plan) requirements with the Materials Management Team and provide production commitments for the production line/area including non-commercial requirements
* Provide appropriate input into the long-term planning of the production line/area

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or Applicable Field.
* 5 years experience in manufacturing/operations/production:
* Desirable knowledge in: Tools (Statistics, Technical Manuals, Kaizen, Six Sigma), Regulatory Industry management, DOE, Statistical and Experimental Analysis.
* Global Supply Chain experience a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong Problem-Solving skills with experience in Operations and project management
* Proven ability to Influence & lead teams
