Overview:

As a member of the Corporate Finance team, youll partner with our Finance Leadership team to drive revenue planning and forecasting at the company level, understand key growth drivers and provide actionable and strategic insights. VMware is seeking a highly analytical professional who will be accountable for bookings to revenue conversion, revenue planning, and ARR forecasting. Your primary responsibilities will include providing new and valuable analysis and financial guidance to the leadership, including scenario analysis and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

* Create financial models and analyze monthly forecasting, annual planning, and long-range modeling for VMwares revenue and billings

* Develop a deep understanding of business strategy, external environment, and revenue accounting rules

* Facilitate the process for monthly ARR forecasting and reporting for VMwares Subscription and SaaS offerings

* Model and present relevant scenario analysis reflecting product mix changes, M&A;, economic changes, competitive situations; identify implications and sensitivities of these scenarios to revenue and overall P&L;

* Quarterly close activities and measuring performance against plan

* Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue Accounting, Sales Finance, BU Finance as well as Investor Relations

* Identify and operationalize areas of future automation (in Hyperion/SAP) with IT and Business Transformation partnership

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

* 3-5 years experience in Finance within a fast-paced high-tech organization

* Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business; an MBA is preferred

* Excellent financial modeling abilities, seasoned experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

* Capable of independently managing multiple tasks in a highly deadline-driven environment with a high level of precision

* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas in a precise and concise manner

* Strong presentation skills, comfortable with senior leadership interaction

* Analytical thinker, willing to take ownership of tasks and adapt to changing business requirements
