Caterpillar Switchgear Americas (CSA) has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician. As a Field Service Technician at Caterpillar, you will provide technical assistance and support for field startups of both standard and non-standard systems, warranty efforts, remedial repairs, and preventative maintenance contracts. Working under the general supervision of the Customer Service Team Lead and Product Support.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Assist the help desk to resolve customer issues that cannot be handled from Alpharetta.

* As needed, assist the field service team with hardware installation, wiring, repair and troubleshooting.

* As needed, assists both internal and external customers, in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of ATS and Switchgear.

* Self-manage travel booking and expenses.

* Submit daily reports, weekly time sheets, expenses, and project files in a timely manner.

* Stay current with training on all new and updated platforms.

* Assist with Parts Ordering and Warranty Analysis.

* Monitor status of Helpdesk Tickets, RFQ, and Orders.

Basic Requirements:

* 1-3 years related experience

* Basic electrical or electronics knowledge.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

* Troubleshoot, repair and maintenance experience

* Ability and desire to learn

* Willingness to jump in to assist with tasks
