Role within group:

Work directly with Corning’s CMMS Program Manager on the Predictive Maintenance Strategy and Rollout for Global Corning.  

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Lead technical discussions with business stakeholders and provide best practice solutions for Maximo Asset Management to support a Predictive Maintenance (PdM) strategy.
Provide guidance, training and documentation to Process Control Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors and high-functioning Maximo CMMS users on a variety of subjects to support their PdM strategies, including sensor analysis, work order work flow management, standardizing maintenance business processes, asset cost depreciation and accounting, resource alignment, planning and scheduling and failure code configuration and analysis.
Work with technical lead and subject matter experts to ensure project timelines.
Work closely with the Predictive Maintenance Project and CMMS Product Managers to establish and align current and future Corning divisions and sites with standard PdM strategies. 
Be responsible for the functional and operational integrity of design, estimating costs, defining project scope, budget and schedule.  
Set project priorities and tactical direction for the team based on impact to business results, constrained resources and timelines required to manage and support a broad range of manufacturing projects.  
Guide colleagues on the Maximo technical team towards correct solutions.  Team is a cross functional team that have been assembled to develop, design, build and install robust CMMS methodologies.
Ensure process compliance on Maximo development processes.
Responsible for participating in design efforts for concurrent Maximo configurations across multiple Corning businesses.
Generates and maintains detailed documentation of PdM best practices, learning and guidelines to share with future sites as they adopt their PdM strategies.
Seeks supervisory direction for issues crossing into other functional areas or with broad impacts.
Limited supervision. No instructions needed on routine work General instructions and/or independent leeway given on new lines of work or special assignments.
Coordinate other activities. Schedules own work to meet completion dates.
Recommends changes in methods or procedures.
Accuracy and reliability of data is critical to utility of project.
Actively manage the project progress and program risks in order to proactively mitigate critical barriers and deliver projects on time.
Ability to work in a team-based environment and participate on a highly matrixed project team

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

Normal Business Hours (8 – 5, M – F), however, expected to work hours required to achieve project objectives that could exceed 40 hours per week at times.

Travel Requirements: 

Estimated travel at 30% - 40% depending upon specific project assignment. Could include International travel.  

Education:  

B.S.  / M.S.  Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field 

Experience:  

10+ years in project leadership and 5+ years of experience in the design and development of predictive maintenance techniques or theories.

Required Skills:

At least 3 years of experience in Enterprise Asset Management and/or Computerized Maintenance Management.
Strong understanding of Condition-Based and Predictive Maintenance strategies.
Knowledge of current Maximo 7.6.x versions with Maximo business application design experience.
Ability to work both as a team member, or independently on complex tasks, to maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver on commitments.
Experience with general data manipulation/automation with Maximo or database extract/translate/load tools.
Proven Project Leadership experience. Strong business communications in a multi-stakeholder environment, especially regarding consultation with users to understand needs, define requirements, and provide effective solutions.
Experience with projects requiring development of fundamental process understanding and requirements. Experience in scoping and applying sensors to address gaps in data required for PdM.
Accurate and timely communication of statuses risks to stakeholders. 
Ability to interact with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, regions, and levels in the organization. Contacts are frequent within and outside own organization, typically with Maintenance Management and Reliability Engineering professionals as well as Data Analysts, with excellent communication skills always applied.
External contacts involve obtaining or providing information on matters of moderate importance to the organization and may be of a sensitive nature.
Demonstrated project leadership experience with ability to achieve results through a highly matrixed project team.
Ability to effectively manage highly ambiguous situations and effectively demonstrate leadership.
Ability to interface with senior management and provide clear concise program strategies, resources needs, and program updates.
Ability to effectively leverage and manage both internal and external resources.
Individual must be capable of executing project assignments with minimal supervision.
Strong level of technical curiosity that will enable unique solutions to the technical challenges

Secondary Skills:

Data Historian visualization and data processing tools; OSI PI platform is preferred.
Experience with the development and implementations of sound fundamental manufacturing processes
