What you will be doing

The Pharmacy Projects Analyst responds to Client requests for issue resolution, including: delivery, rebating and credits, utilizing the AmerisourceBergen support resources network where necessary. This role sources data and generates appropriate reports in support of customer initiatives and projects. This role ensures continued implementation of targeted programs and solutions regularly updating customers on progress and status. This role is responsible for reviewing reports and purchasing history and assisting with implementation of initiatives targeted at customer savings.

* Actively identifies and addresses Client (service) needs and issues within current contract with AmerisourceBergen, determining appropriate internal AmerisourceBergen support and escalating to the appropriate AmerisourceBergen team(s) to ensure resolution.

* Provides comprehensive data analytics around drug purchasing history, drug spend optimization and other analytics projects as determined by client customer

* Analyze customer purchasing history across wholesaler accounts to identify opportunities for savings. Present data and relevant finding to senior pharmacy leadership.

* Partners appropriately with external client representatives and internal AmerisourceBergen support to ensure business goals are met.

* Delivers regular updates to Client on resolved issues and status of critical backordered items. Reviews AmerisourceBergen purchasing reports as well as pharmacy system reports for opportunities and summarizes into concise data for review by Client and AmerisourceBergen leadership.

* Track and reports on relevant metrics as requested by the client including the following examples:

* Allocation tracking reports

* Backorder reports

* Contract compliance reports

* Generic conversion opportunity reports

* 340B savings reports (where applicable)

* Quarterly business review

* Savings opportunity reports

* Performs other duties as assigned

What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)

* Normally requires 5+ years experience within a pharmacy or healthcare finance department
* Experience in data analytics preferred
* Experience in manipulating large datasets in Excel and presenting data in charts/graphs is essential for this position.
* Exeperiene with MS Access or other database program desired
* Familiarity with the Federal 340B program a plus
* Normally requires broad training in fields such as pharmaceutical purchasing, pharmacy technician, supply chain, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelors degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
* Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
* Strong customer service skills
