The Director Sales Forecasting, Specialty Products will lead the sales forecast analytical process for the franchise. You will be responsible for leading a team in developing accurate/timely projections of Commercial product volumes for Plan, Update, LBE, LRP, Portfolio and Actual submissions as well as providing decision-making support and recommendation to Senior Management across the franchise. The Director of Sales Forecasting must build and maintain knowledge of the business through communication with a variety of cross-functional partners including executives, Marketing & Sales Management, Marketing Analytics and Business Insights and Commercial Finance.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Lead the development of accurate product sales projections to be utilized in Plan, Update, LBE, LRP and Portfolio submissions using sound analytical assumptions and effective communication of rationale/methodology
* Lead monthly planning process, including latest best estimates, executive supply & operations planning, operations ADS and sales forecasting
* Lead month-end actual close process including the preparation of Price, Pipeline and Demand variance and Close commentary; communicate key drivers of performance
* Preparation, creation, and review of sales reporting/key metric Forecasting Packages
* Presentation of monthly actual sales results/future period volume forecasts to Commercial VPs and General Manager
* Collaboration with Commercial, Pricing, Finance and Marketing Analytics & Business Insight teams to address business issues and provide solutions through problem solving, include defining risks and opportunities associated with the forecast
* Provide ad-hoc analytical support on various business needs including audit, product launch scenarios, channel/product mix impacts and other key business drivers
* The Forecasting function requires a working knowledge of technical areas, including forecast modeling approaches (regression, patient flow, etc), financial modeling, market dynamics, primary market research, competitive intelligence and syndicated data sources
* Staff Development responsible for delegating to and coaching employee(s) to ensure an optimal level of support to the business and provide coaching and career development opportunities to sustain a high performing staff

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

* BS/BA in Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Marketing; Masters/MBA is preferred
* 8 to 10 years of combined experience in analytics, forecasting, and/or financial planning and analysis is required, including people leader experience and experience supporting a commercial / marketing organization; biopharma industry experience is strongly preferred
* Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, identify key issues, opportunities, and value drivers, and effectively translate strategic insights into appropriate forecasts to drive business decisions
* Demonstrated leadership skills to build, motivate and influence teams
* Must have strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with good interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of management and peers across functions
* Ability to triangulate a wide variety of data sets and analytics to inform forecasting in clear and concise way
* Ability to understand market research is critical to discovering and quantifying financial impacts of marketing initiatives and competitive events
* Agility to prioritize and quickly understand issues and assess data integrity is critical due to challenging deadlines
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required; strong PowerPoint skills are preferred
