Material Planning Lead
The Material Planning Lead is responsible for providing leadership to the material planners to deliver all components needed to make dishwashers. This role has 5 material planners reporting to it. The planning lead is responsible for the development of the members of the current part planning team.
Each day the material planning lead verifies part coverage for all models and lines. This individual is responsible for working with the planners and other cross-functional teams to break down barriers to continued part availability. This role is the main escalation point for any Supply Chain concerns.
The Material Planning Lead will also help with Transportation/Logistics initiatives, Inventory Control, Inventory Management, and other related initiatives.
Along with leading daily part and supplier management, this role is responsible for completing projects related to the long-term company and plant goals. This will be done through projects using Kaizen and World Class Manufacturing Methodology.
Job Responsibilities:
* Management of the component Supply Chain for dishwasher Stock Keeping Units (SKUs)
* Working with part suppliers, transportation partners, service providers, and plant-level materials teams, to drive Continuous Improvement activities utilizing Lean principles
* Project Management of new Kaizens to improve part availability
* Lean projects including business case development
* Piloting solutions and final implementation
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree
* 1+ years of experience with Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, and Material Parts Flow
Preferred Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree
* Effective at developing and using standardized work
* Supply Chain Management, experience with managing vendors
* Understanding of Lean Concepts
* Understands and employs basic change management methodology
* Uses logic and problem-solving tools to develop plans to meet targets and look forward proactively and to prioritize
* Can lead conversations with suppliers in a proactive, productive manner
* Use of Google Tools (Google: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms & Drawings)
