The WIM Operations Control team has a new opportunity for a Business Risk & Control Senior Associate supporting the Investment Contact Center. The Investment Contact Center Control team provides support in line with the Enterprise Control Five Pillars of Risk for the contact center business. The teams responsibilities include:
* Monitor, assess, and advise on potential risks and may recommend changes and/or enhancements to improve efficiencies in control environment, policies, and procedures
* Develop and validate the sustainability of action plans to address issues and identify root causes and issue themes/trends
* Provide control and process expertise in the implementation of key risk management programs into the standard operating framework of the business
The Business Risk & Control Senior Associate will collaborate with business partners to monitor and assess the operating and control environment on an ongoing basis. A strong desire to learn, high attention to detail, an understanding of key WIM and/or contact center risks, and excellent communication skills are key to the success of this role.
Major Responsibilities:
* Monitor, assess, and advise on control, operational, and other risks within the business
* Consult on initiatives with moderate to high risk
* Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize processes and internal controls in consultation with the business
* Collaborate with data analytics team, technology, and key stakeholders to identify and build appropriate control testing, monitoring activities and associated reporting
* Facilitate end-to-end issue management of business issues, including developing and validating sustainability of action plans and identifying root causes
* Participate and assist in implementing and developing a solid risk framework at the business level and group level
* Balance strong, innovative problem solving skills with the practical ability to implement workable solutions to problems in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
* Communicate and work with all levels of individuals across the organization

Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 5+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in risk management demonstrated through work or military experience

Other Desired Qualifications
* Proven history of establishing end to end risk management solutions and controls aligned with business/customer processes
* Experience creating, executing, and documenting compliance/control testing
* Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: control, compliance, risk management, or audit operations
* Experience working in or closely with Wealth and Investment Management lines of business (or external equivalents) sufficient to demonstrate a working knowledge of their products/services, key processes/systems, and organizational structure
* Knowledge and understanding of laws and federal regulations
* Strong technical knowledge of risk management frameworks and principles, internal control design objectives, audit/testing/quality assurance methodologies
* Ability to identify root cause of identified issues and evaluate potential mitigation plans
* Ability to develop pertinent reporting and analytics to help in understanding and aiding in the development of solutions for complex risk and control issues
* Strong project management and execution skills, including the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while delivering all commitments on time and with high quality
* Experience creating reports in response to management, audit, or regulatory requirements
* Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
