* Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or related field desired, or equivalent experience.
* 3-5 years operations leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of significant performance improvement required.
* Experience in lean culture development and lean tool implementation required.
* Ability and passion to rapidly learn and utilize the business system and achieve objectives.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
* Autonomous and self-directed.
* High degree of credibility and integrity.
* Strong computer skills & aptitude.
What Youll Do
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for executing production schedules and achieving operational Key Performance Indicator goals within their department to assure high quality production. All aspects of staffing, training, and scheduling the personnel fall under the scope of this role.
This role includes the initial creation and launch of this operation, and thus will be involved in creating Standard Work and operating procedures for the department, as well as interviewing, hiring, and training all of the staff for the department, with the support of Human Resources.
* Schedule and assign staffing within the Pack department as needed to meet daily delivery requirements.
* Monitor demand forecasts, and work with Human Resources to ensure sufficient staffing is available to meet demand.
* Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to the department (Schedule Attainment, Lead Time, Labor Efficiency, Safety, etc.)
* Address any significant or ongoing misses to those KPIs.
* Provide training for the team, and ensure team works according to established work standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
* Learn and model the Stanley Production System and ensure adherence to SPS Principles in daily operation.
* Actively lead and participate in continuous improvement for all aspects of the department. Generate ideas and assign resources as needed to implement and achieve needed gains.
* Partner with downstream customer (Distribution Center) to ensure satisfaction and seek areas of further improvement.
* Handle timekeeping, vacation scheduling, disciplinary actions, etc.
