Responsibilities
As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Leader
* Candidate will be the Sr.ME Leader for the Global ME organization
* Candidate will lead the companys Digital Manufacturing Transformation from the Manufacturing Engineering aspect of production (Visual Work Instructions, Ease of Manufacturing, New Product Introduction, Manufacturing Plan, Measurement Plan and Quality Plan)
* Sr. ME Leader will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan.
* Lead and collaborate with Manufacturing, Program and key stakeholders to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and improve manufacturing processes enabling execution of production while maintaining configuration of the Type Design.
* Utilize process engineering principles and techniques. Develops, establishes, and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations.
* Performs trade and cost studies and assists in leading integrated product and process teams.
* Candidate will work in a team environment, interact with multiple disciplines and multiple levels of leadership, provide Manufacturing Engineering guidance, establish effective long-term sustainable product and production improvements, meet commitments to ensure customer satisfaction and implement Manufacturing Engineering process & continuous improvement projects.
* Ability to apply knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Metallic, Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures.
* Candidate must be flexible and able to balance priorities within multiple programs.
Qualifications
Required:
* ABET accredited 4 year Engineering Degree
* 5+ Years of experience leading a technical engineering /Program / Operations Engineering Team
* Experience in all aspects of the Manufacturing production cycle including Design, Manufacturing, BOMs, Routing, SAP, New Product Proposals, drafting, administration and closeout
* Ability to lead a team, align them to the vision and execute the strategies
* Ability to identify, assess and recommend mitigation for manufacturing risk inherent in a product / process and implement solutions
* Strong oral, written, presentation and negotiation skills; ability to create and deliver concise, impactful presentations at all levels of the organization (manager through CEO)
* Ability to coach others, and lead regardless of position or reporting relationship
* Proven ability to work with stakeholders across multiple Business Units and geographical regions
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively work multiple simultaneous assignments
* SAP, Catia and Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to travel, as required
Preferred:
* Masters Degree or JD Degree
* Strong financial and business acumen; familiarity with accounting principles as they relate to Aircraft manufacturing
* Experience working in Aerospace in support of production programs is a plus
