Job Title: Lead Technical Marketing Engineer
Job Description:
The Public Sector Technical Marketing team is seeking a bright, creative and sales-focused technical specialist to support our go-to-market efforts which ultimately drive customer awareness of Salesforce solutions and how they solve their most pressing needs. This roll will blend traditional solution engineering expertise with top level creative execution in support of Public Sector programs.
The ideal candidate is an individual that has experience collaborating with a sales organization, possesses superb relationship-building skills and enjoys the blend of marketing, sales, business development and technology coupled with the responsibility of owning co-marketing programs. The role requires a strategic thinker to position how public sector entities benefit from partnering with Salesforce to address their most pressing needs as they serve their citizens.
As the resident technology expert and creative analyst, you will drive how we make our product vision on to life for customers and prospects alike, leading efforts including:
* Build storyboards, scripts, and demos for keynotes, conferences, and webinars;
* Create and scale-out demo environments for other team members using the latest cloud-native technologies;
* Represent Salesforce at major events and conferences;
* Monitor account specific marketing planning aligned to sales strategies and support deployment of the right programmatic and account-specific tactical mix to deliver the right content at the right time, to increase awareness, reputation and/or consideration;
* Co-lead campaigns and run a drumbeat of activities on a quarterly basis including campaign assets, industry vertical campaigns (all products)
* Support product launches by creating content/demos focused on business and technical differentiators;
* Work cross-functionally with Product, Pre-Sales, Customer Success and Services teams to develop alignment and thought leadership;
* Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and customer constituencies, including creative, support, sales and marketing experts;
* Be an effective business partner and provide consistent and clear communication.
The candidate needs excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as the ability to liaise effectively with key sales stakeholders and be accountable for results. This is a high-visibility, high-impact opportunity that allows you to leverage your technical skills while exercising your strategic storytelling abilities. You will work with senior leaders across functions, and a world-class team of passionate marketers will support you in your journey.
Your skills and qualifications should include:
* Undergrad or graduate degree
* 3 or more years of experience in technical marketing, IT consulting, product management, or solution consulting
* Knowledge of script writing, video production and business productivity tools;
* Prior knowledge with Salesforce is required;
* Proficiency in presentation & communication
* Proven expertise in building content for a technical audience and speaking at tech conferences
* Ability to communicate value to both business and technical constituencies alike
* Knowledge or experience as an integration architect or developer is a strong bonus;
* Knowledge of the Public Sector market is a strong bonus
