The Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Web/Software Developer to join the Defense Travel System (DTS) program.
* This work will be done remotely / virtually.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Develop and update web applications
* Implement and update front-end frameworks
* Implement and apply web package managers
* Develop and modify the Defense System Travel application software
* Update system documentation
* Troubleshoot any issues that arise with the application
* Create unit tests while developing new code or fixing existing code
* Participate in code reviews
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must have:
* Bachelor 39;s degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional technical experience
* Minimum of 5 years experience performing Web Development using HTML5, JavaScript, MySQL, CSS, SASS, Java and Grails
* Minimum of 5 years experience working with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vuejs
* Minimum of 5 years experience working with web package managers such as Bower, Yarn, or Webpack
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum of 9 years of technical Web / Software development experience
* Minimum of 3 years experience supporting the Defense Travel System Program
* Minimum of 5 years or more of backend software development experience with Java, C++, or other programming languages
* Minimum of 3 years experience as a Team Lead
* Minimum of 3 years experience with Agile methodologies and Jira or other project tracking software
