Over the past few years we have been growing our Audio team to better support successful efforts like The Daily (1 billion downloads since 2017), Caliphate, 1619 and Still Processing, and adding to those efforts through acquisitions like Audm (a subscription-based audio app that offers listeners the worlds best longform journalism, read aloud word-for-word by celebrated audiobook narrators) and Serial Productions. Th New York Times Opinion team is also ramping up its audio ambitions. While people increasingly find themselves with less and less time, the natural human need to be informed, enriched and entertained remains strong, and we believe theres a great opportunity with audio to help build products that better meet people where they are.

As a Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, Audio you will be tasked with implementing recruiting strategies in order to identify, assess and attract candidates for The New York Times Audio Department. This will include working closely with leadership on scaling a high volume of hiring across the department. You will embed yourself with the teams, becoming a subject matter expert. You will also interact closely with other members of the Talent & Inclusion team for The New York Times Company.

Specific responsibilities are not limited to but will include:

* Builds relationships with all internal clients. Is a trusted and credible partner who anticipates needs and proactively recommends solutions

* Gains a deep understanding of how Audio at The New York Times works. Scans for future trends internally and externally

* Keep up to date with the latest trends in Audio and latest industry news

* Lead and implement the recruiting process

* Source, identify and interview high potential candidates

* Develop and maintain an ongoing pool of candidates through strategic sourcing and research

* Build relationships with pipeline organizations and target universities for talent

* Participate in industry conferences and events

* Provide guidance and insight to management to help attract, retain and develop top talent

* Coordinate with other departmental recruiters to assist with open positions in other functional areas

* Effectively partners with specialist functions across the Talent & Inclusion organization

Job Requirements:

* 4+ years of experience and a minimum of three years of high-volume recruitment experience preferably in audio, digital and/or production environments

* Aptitude to identify exceptional talent across various disciplines

* Exceptional client service skills

* Relationship management ability and experience is critical

* Experience with and (ATS) applicant tracking system preferred

* Ability to work on multiple detailed projects simultaneously

* Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
