Internal Corporate Communication Director

As a member of the Communications team at News Corp Headquarters (HQ), the Internal Corporate Communications Director will work to develop, manage and execute communications that serve internal audiences.

We are seeking an organized, self-motivated, technology-savvy communications Manager / Director to work on a range of transformation communications programs and strategies that inform, develop knowledge, inspire and engage employees globally. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders to offer strategic and tactical communications advice and expertise, developing and executing an end to end communications strategy and plan for global transformation and other communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a positive, trusted partner, change ambassador and someone who can establish and maintain connections and networks with stakeholders and business partners across the global organization. This position dual reports to the Companys Chief Communications officer and the SVP, Change Management.

Responsibilities:

* Support enterprise-wide Transformational Change initiatives, establishing a comprehensive Communication strategy and plan, and oversee the execution of such strategy and plan.
* Work closely with the Head of Transformation and our change management team to develop and generate communication ideas and programs that inspire cultural transformation and foster employee and leadership engagement.

* Ability to articulate transformation initiatives visions, case for change and goals into a compelling narrative that resonates with stakeholders and audiences providing insight into how and when transformation initiatives impact stakeholders.

* Design Transformation communications strategies and plans that will enable the achievement of business goals and successful adoption of organizational changes.

* Collaborate on the development and authoring of key communication collateral and artifacts (e.g. newsletters, FAQs, leadership presentations, key message talking points).

* Serve as a curator of culture, helping drive change and transformation.

* Promote a shared sense of purpose by proactively finding and telling the stories that align with the business strategic priorities.

* Deliver fit for purpose communications to stakeholders; providing clear messaging with context and relevance, leveraging alternative and appropriate communication delivery methods and considering audiences readiness and receptiveness when timing communications.

* Partner with regional Internal communication leaders, serving as a strategic communications advisor to ensure global consistency and regional responsiveness in all communications.

* Partner with senior leaders tasked with transformational programs, enabling them to deliver effective communications to their teams.

* Assist with developing and executing Operating Model communications

Required Skills and Experience:

* Minimum of 8 years of experience driving strategic and engaging communications plans in complex environments with preferred focus on internal communications.
* BA or equivalent work experience in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Content Marketing.

* Experience and in-depth knowledge of understanding key audiences needs to meet communication goals, such as engagement and advocacy.

* Ability to provide effective communications coaching - providing communications counsel to senior leaders enabling them to lead dialogues with their respective stakeholders.

* Looking for a self-motivated and creative communicator who believes strategic internal communication is the foundation of a positive employee experience and company culture.

* Ability to apply sensitivity and confidentiality around Operating Model and people related communications.

* Have experience developing and/or executing comprehensive communication plans that articulate clear objectives, key messages, timelines, and success metrics across all business verticals.

* Highly proficient author and excellent writing skills. Able to synthesize complex ideas or materials into a compelling narrative that will resonate and motivate employees of all backgrounds.

* Have experience writing for various mediums (e.g., email, newsletters, slides, audio, video, etc.) as well as excellent PowerPoint skills.

* Strong project management and organizational skills needed to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, with minimal oversight and the ability to flourish in a fast[paced and collaborative environment.

* Ability to work on a small team with willingness to take on tasks outside of immediate scope as needed.

* Clear and creative thinker with strong ability to multitask and prioritize with a strong attention to detail.
