Job Description
Position Title: Molding Packer
Reports to: Molding Shift Lead
Location: Maryville, TN
Job Summary:
The primary function of this position is to inspect and package in process components produced from injection molding machines.
Job Duties:
Responsible for production from multiple presses.
Must drive productivity and efficiency while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.
Preform quality checks with various gauges and techniques.
Participate in shift handoff meetings, providing relevant information to the oncoming shift.
Ensure all molded components are properly boxed, weighed and labeled before moving to assembly.
Complete necessary paperwork to record production and quality performance daily.
Ensures standard quality checks are performed properly and regularly, recording variation/scrap issues.
Keeps work area neat and clean at all times.
Maintains lean work environment and strives to eliminate waste in the work station.
Proactively identifies potential safety issues and ensures no safety hazards in work area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Assist in clean-up, shutdown and startup of presses.
Assist Utility Operators and Process Technicians as needed.
Flexibility to take on various departmental tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Operates in a manner that is consistent with safety guidelines and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to work well with others.
Flexible to work any shift.
Ability to work overtime or call-ins as necessary.
Visual aptitude must be able to see with or without correction.
Communication ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
Ability to perform standing job for 12 consecutive hours.
Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 12 hour period.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Previous manufacturing experience.
