Our Payment Processor supports our mission by bringing a high drive to succeed in a fast paced, team oriented environment. Our Payment Processor is a key member of our Milwaukee Lockbox team and processes high volume payments via cash or check as well as imaging payment and non-payment mail using a commercial payment processing machine. Our ideal candidate holds a proven ability to successfully and accurately problem solve, a strong attention to detail and effective verbal/ written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Mail Handling

* Batch incoming mail according to client contracts Image incoming mail using commercial machine
* Record and track all non-postable payments
* Scan incoming correspondence

Payment Posting

* Complete software keying of payment images
* Manually post payments into accounts if needed
* Verify/Upload images for accuracy and deposit

Reporting/Data Entry

* Complete all data entry into system of record
* Assist in FACS entry Complete logs to track incoming payments and data entry work
* Track correspondence and incoming payment data
* Create letters for non-postable payments

Deposits

* Complete manual deposits including cash
* Verify deposits for ICL uploads
* Assist in resolving deposit discrepancies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

* High School diploma/ GED/ equivalent
* 1 year payment handling/ research (additional education may substitute)
* Knowledge of ItemAge/ Opex/ FACS/ auto process systems (additional education may substitute)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Decision-making skills
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2013
* Ability to navigate easily between internet, intranet and several proprietary systems in gathering and relaying information
* Regular attendance during regularly-scheduled business hours
* Subject to in-person supervision during working hours
* In-person interaction with co-workers and supervisors
