Department Overview

Professional & Commercial Radio (PCR) Infrastructure Software Development is a diverse team of motivated software developers. The team develops software for base repeaters, system servers and gateways.

Job Description

The SafeX integration testing lead would interface to different product teams within the SafeX solution to help create a test plan, coordinate drops, monitor integration test execution, execute/debug integration test scenarios, report progress/risks to SafeX team.

Responsibilities

* Perform risk analysis of product changes and recommend appropriate test strategies.
* Collaborate with Project Management and Product Support to define customer equipment configurations to be used for testing.
* Take leadership initiative to work with internal and external partners on identifying root cause of and driving resolution of product issues.
* Take ownership of test development and execution of tests validating software applications, often writing scripts or using automation tools to be as efficient as possible.
* Participate in the advancement of test engineering processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

* Ability to pick up new technologies involving video management software quickly
* Familiar with software test methodologies and a passion for testing and high quality as an engineering discipline.
* Experience planning test cycles against internally developed and published APIs
* In-depth knowledge of commonly used Test Management tools, including defect and test tracking tools.
* Strong planning and organizational skills with demonstrable success in a fast-paced software engineering organization.
* Working knowledge of network troubleshooting tools, such as WireShark

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with debugging cloud technologies
* Experience with Python computer programming
* Experience with Agile and sprint-based development methodologies
* Experience leading test efforts according to an Agile methodology
* Experience with cyber-security

Basic Requirements

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study and/or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum of 3 year software testing or development experience.
