Endless Pools manufactures innovative specialty pools and accessories. This position is responsible and accountable for providing leadership in all aspects of manufacturing and shipping. The Senior Manager of Manufacturing provides leadership in a fast-paced environment, setting direction and holding staff accountable. The Senior Manager of Manufacturing is responsible for all Key Performance Indicators related to Quality/Production/Costs as they relate to manufacturing and shipping. This position is responsible for all planning, coordinating and execution of production schedules. In addition, this position is a key leader for promoting and driving a Continuous Improvement culture in the organization through training, promotion and use of Continuous Improvement concepts and tools. Reporting to this position are all manufacturing and shipping supervisors as well as administrative support personnel. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations and will work closely with other managers in their daily activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Maintain a safe, productive, manufacturing operation with positive employee morale, team spirit, and success in meeting and exceeding goals.
* Prioritize, assign, and coordinate work (scheduling).
* Ensure safety of all employees in production and shipping.
* Supervise all assigned departments, holding them accountable for results.
* Lead and motivate to fulfill schedules, make improvements, and control cost.
* Ensure lean manufacturing principles are practices. Eliminate 8 types of waste. Assist with leading Kaizen events.
* Assist with training leaders on company systems and continuous improvement (CI) tools.
* Manage performance review process.
* Supervise, coach, and provide performance reviews for supervisors.
* Conduct audits as needed.
* Comply with all Quality Assurance (QA) policies and procedures while assisting in making improvements.
* Manage attendance system in manufacturing.
* Manage disciplinary process.
* Responsible for all manufacturing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Manage training process.
* Assist with the teaching, implementing and using MOS tools.
* Analyze processes (manufacturing or business) and suggest tools/improvements.
* Provide mentorship in manufacturing or CI as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
* 6+ years working in manufacturing with experience supervising manufacturing staff and processes.
* 4+ years in a manufacturing management role or equivalent.
* Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, or other relevant major. In lieu of degree, equivalent extra work experience may apply.
* Successful experience in building effective and productive teams. Must have a strong focus on employees, to ensure their safety, well-being, and morale.
* Solid understanding and experience using lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement concepts. Certification in Lean or Continuous Improvement preferred.
* Proficient user in MS Office suite. Regular use of e-mail Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Proficient user in Database software (Access, Air table or equivalent).
* Proficient user in ERP/MRP Suite.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills. The individual must be able to interface with co-workers, internal departments, service providers, and customers in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and standard operating procedures.
* Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross functional business teams.
* Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
* Solid math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to understand basic descriptive statistics.
* Ability to creatively problem solve.
* Mechanical/technical aptitude.
* Ability to read, understand and draw technical diagrams.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high production environment. This position requires ability to navigate throughout the plant and is not a stationary position.
