The Opportunity

QVC, Inc., a world-class global shopping community and the worlds leading video & eCommerce retailer is seeking a dynamic and passionate Lifestyle Production intern to support our Content Producers team. This is a unique opportunity to learn Video and Photo Producing skills at a growing retail, ecommerce, and television company. Gain hands-on experience and contribute to exciting work while learning from the industrys best and brightestin a fast-paced and innovative environment.. Participate in projects and support QVC's producing team. Support video and photo production shoots for multi-platform content, including three live broadcast channels, social and online platforms.

Your Impact

* Support multiple Producers and Associate Producers on varied non-live and live video productions.
* Work with multi-disciplined team to secure product, props and additional resources for shoots.
* Originate and manage product acquisition requests.
* Facilitate product procurement with the Planning department and Product Warehouse.
* Request, obtain and return new products from Product Central, working with cross-functional partners as needed.
* Track products throughout production process.
* Develop strategies for improving process and workflow.
* Participate in production meetings with internal clients, creative partners and production team.
* Coordinate voice over sessions and direct talent, as needed.
* Aid in the coordination/logistics of shoots in studio and on location; including, but not limited to: transportation and delivery of products, talent, crew, equipment, scripts, etc
* Assist with production setup; sets and props.
* Ingest footage into Media Asset Management system.
* Use independent judgment to add relevant metadata to video assets within MAM.
* Support Post Production and Graphics by preparing media and assets for edits.
* Research existing video assets; log and transcribe footage.
* Use creativity to research and suggest music appropriate to production.
* Assist with coordinating permits, legal clearances and permissions.
* Schedule and coordinate resources, talent, craft services; answer phones and deliver messages as needed.
* Serve as Production/Post-Production backup to Associate Producer, as needed.



What You Bring

* Education: Must be currently enrolled in a Design, Broadcasting, or a related art field and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience required, from an accredited college or university.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Keen resourcefulness and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of the company personnel.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with a stellar working knowledge of correct grammar usage.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
* Able to exercise high level thinking, excellent judgment and problem solving in the execution of responsibilities.
* Strong skills in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
* Experience with non-linear editing tools, video camera and production equipment a strong plus.
