Description:
Program or Manufacturing PP&C Lead. Responsible for the integration and management of IMS (Integrated Master Schedule) and inventory management in a MRP based operating system for a large and complex Government Programs spanning across several facilities and numerous suppliers. Lead a team of professionals and provide guidance to support personnel within the department. Develop the departments organizational structure and perform strategic manpower planning. Coordinate the development of departmental contract proposals and estimates. Track and manage budgets and overhead cost. Responsible for creating, monitoring and reporting on all executive operations metrics.
Requires travel and/or communication to all production sites and vendor locations.
Work outside of the core operating hours may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration on Supply Chain, Operations Management or related discipline.
Strong experience in a Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) based operating system.
Leadership experience managing direct reports
Strong Project Management experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of Management, industry peers, a represented workforce and internal and external customers.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Candidate must possess Full Spectrum Leadership qualities and an ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment is essential.
Must have a strong working knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
Proficient in MS Office
Must have APICS CPIM Certification or commitment to obtain such within 18 months of beginning assignment.
Strategic thinker with lean manufacturing focus (MFC Greenbelt certified or equivalent)
Subject Matter Expert in a PP&C (Production Planning and Control) specific field
Desired Skills:
APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
Black Belt trained/certified
Masters Degree
Educational background in Operations Management or related discipline.
Experience leading diverse multi-functional teams.
Knowledge of industry wide best practices and processes for managing material flow throughout the entire production supply chain.
MRP systems utilizing latest technology and processes. Integration of new systems and processes in to an operational organization.
Prior experience leading a team of salaried (managers, supervisors or team leads) and bargaining unit team members.
Inventory Control and material handling knowledge
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) extensive user experience or implementation
Control Account Manager (CAM) certified
Demonstrated experience in managing a functional or program staff.
