1.Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
2.Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
3.Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
4.Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
5.Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
6.Assits with external and internal financial and Sarbanes oxley audits
7.Assisting with accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
8.Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
9.Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
10.Prepares journal entries, reconciliations, analytical and other financial close procedures
11.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
12.Assists with external and internal financial and Sarbanes oxley audits
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Bachelors degree Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
One year of experience in financial statement preparation and strong technical and computer experience is preferred.
Previous health care experience preferred.
