Position Summary
Plan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Establish work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization. Essential Job Functions
* Train, develop, and manage a team of operations planners
* Use large data sets to forecast customer demand by geography and apply seasonality
* Develop labor models to best utilize workforce and assets while driving down costs
* Develop labor schedules across a complex hub-spoke model in order to best utilize assets and labor in order to drive down cost
* Oversee long term customer demand forecasting, develop HR hiring plans, plan the purchase of future assets, realize the effects of customer behavior on efficiency and cost-to-serve
* Create operational and driver KPI dashboards
* Recommend and implement continuous improvement projects
* Collaborate with operations to create yearly budget and work to improve gaps
* Work with Operations and Industrial Engineering to develop and maintain all SOPs
* Travel independently up to 25% on a regular basis
* Maintain flexibility to work weekends on an occasional basis

Minimum Position Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering or a business-related field
* 2+ years of analytical experience with an emphasis on warehouse, fulfillment center, logistics or transportation
* Provide excellent customer service, both internal and external customers
* Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
* Excellent analytical skills
* Ability to delegate and follow up on assignments while striving for results
* Must be organized and ability to multi-task
* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Desired Previous Experience/Education
* 1 year of experience managing a team
* 2+ years operations planning, headcount planning, or industrial engineering experience
