An EUC Associate Platform Engineer at Kohls is an engineer who has a deep level of knowledge of End User Compute Operating Systems, Hardware, and related management platforms. An EUC Associate Platform Engineer is able to code, test, deploy, operate, and iteratively improve their platform to achieve the desired business outcomes and ensure the platform is a pleasure to use. An EUC Associate Platform Engineer will partner with balanced team members, inclusive of Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and end users during the planning and development phases of a product. They will also work closely with reliability partners to ensure product stability.
Responsible for:
* Develops, tests, deploys, and iteratively improves infrastructure platform capabilities, features, and APIs in collaboration with designers, product managers, end-users, and other engineers on the platform team
* Leverages critical thinking, experimentation, data, end-user feedback, and industry best practices to achieve desired business outcomes
* Contributes to the development and integration of high quality infrastructure platforms that are secure, simple to use, easy to operate, difficult to break, fully integrated, and extremely observable with measurable results
* Contributes to platform engineering and software standards
* Demonstrates passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies
* Working directly with key stakeholders and end users to as part of the design thinking methodology to deliver value
Requires:
* Knowledge of scripting languages; Powershell, Python, SQL
* Basic experience working with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
* Basic knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test driven development
* Passion for growing skills, tackling interesting work and complex problems
* Strong knowledge and experience administering key EUC tools such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Jamf Pro, AirWatch, Amazon WorkSpaces, Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, and Azure
* Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies or techniques quickly
* Open-minded approaches to problem solving that centers around the needs of the customer
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or related field
