POSITION SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer will provide creative design support for our Smucker portfolio of brands. As a member of the in-house creative team, this role works in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to interpret creative briefs and manage multiple projects from concept through completion. The graphic designer must be knowledgeable and have previous experience developing creative for a variety of cross-channel content with an emphasis and knowledge of the Shopper Marketing space. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software and have solid working knowledge of various design tools. This position requires outstanding attention to detail, presentation skills, strong collaboration with copywriters, and the ability to deliver compelling creative daily.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop compelling creative for the JM Smucker portfolio of brands; including consumer foods, coffee and pet food and treats following specific brand guidelines and shopper activation strategies. Digital/video experience would be beneficial, but not required.
* Collaborate with copywriters, photographers, videographers and other designers closely on project deliverables. Partner with creative team members and internal stakeholders to understand and deliver on business objectives and effectively turn around feedback.
* Extend creative executions across a variety of shopper platforms and retail partner requirements
* Translate creative briefs, asking clarifying questions to ensure creative fit based on assignment objectives.
* Contribute to department operations, tracking jobs and inputs/outputs in department workflow management tool
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
* BA/BS in Graphic Design or similar degree is required
Experience
* 3+ years graphic design experience is required
* Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop on the Mac platform is required - Includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
* Prior agency experience preferred

Other
* Creative development excellence
* Ability to meet fast paced deadlines
* Proficiency in other Adobe creative suite programs such as Illustrator, InDesign and Hype3 required, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud highly desired
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Self-starter with proven ability to multi-task
* Good presenter
* Strong sense of urgency
