Utilities Operator

Huntsmans Performance Products Division is now searching for a new Utilities Operator who will be responsible for monitoring, recording and controlling conditions of the process in accordance with daily instructions and operating procedures, while conforming with all safety and environmental regulations. This role will sit at our facility located in Conroe, Texas.

As the Utilities Operator, you will:

* Responsible for ensuring the minimization of Process Wastewater, including communication with the unit operators, in the management of the proper routing of sewer flows throughout the Plant.
* Coordinate U/PA activities to meet environmental regulations and Promote a safe work environment, including good housekeeping habits.
* Perform necessary work in operating, controlling, adjusting, and regulating temperatures, pressures, levels, flow rates and other operating variables to produce quality and on-spec products. As necessary, operate the instrument control board DCS or PLC systems or works outside on the units.
* May direct the work and train others assigned to the job and cooperates and assists others in the performance of duties assigned.
* Support PSM activities for the U/PA area; assisting in resolving corrective action items.
* Provide guidance, direction, and coordination with Maintenance & Inspection employees to ensure equipment is safe and ready to work on to meet targeted completion.
* Assist with Hot Work, Start Work, and Confined Space Entry Permits in their area.
* Submit work requests for equipment repairs and safety items as needed.
* Assist in railcar unloading operations.

Skills and experiences required:

* High school diploma or equivalent with minimum 5 years of chemical plant experience.
* Associate degree in Process Technology with minimum 2 years of chemical plant experience.
* Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
* Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during employment.
* Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.
