Certified Surgical Technician

Seasonal PRN

August 2020 - April 2021

Commitment of 72 hours per 2-week pay period

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. The Certified Surgical Technician performs any combination of following tasks before, during, and after surgery to assist surgical team:

* Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions.
* Assists team members to place and position patient on OR table. Scrubs arms and hands and dons gown and gloves.
* Aids sterile team to don gowns and gloves.
* Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon and performs other tasks as directed by surgeon during operation.
* Assists with dressings on patient following surgery.
* Counts sponges, needles, and instruments according to policy.
* Takes part in Time-out and maintains sterile field throughout procedure.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

* Vocational/Technical Education
* BLS (CPR) Certification
* Graduate from an accredited surgical tech program or 3 years of experience
* Certification within 6 months of employment
