Basic Function:

Provide planning and onsite support to the Sweeny, TX site, with a strong focus on safety and rotating equipment reliability. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment installation as required.

Performs all the administrative and reporting tasks of the position including:

* Maintains operating and maintenance history for all equipment as may be required.
* Prepares and maintains documentation such as EAM work orders, service reports and equipment records as required by Linde maintenance procedures and best practices.

Job Description:

* Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical/millwright duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and facilities.
* Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
* Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, structural components, etc.
* Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
* Specific responsibilities include: Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves, and the ability to perform equipment alignments.
* Plan and execute maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-up documentation.
* Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems.
* Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database.
* Always maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness.
* Required to climb ladders, stairways and operate man-lifts for elevated work.
* Instructs contract personnel on safety rules and regulations and maintains constant surveillance to assure their compliance at all times.



Qualifications

* 5+ years experience in an industrial production environment

* Knowledge of skilled trades, Journeyman Millwright/Machinist experience preferred

* Reciprocating compressor knowledge preferred.

* High School education, associated degree preferred

* Ability to interpret equipment drawings required.

* Functional computer skills required.

* On-call ability required, 24/7 operations.

* Willing to support multiple facilities within the TX City/Gulf Coast area. Opportunities may exist for travel outside the region.
