Job Description

As a Sr UX Designer Design System, you will lead a group of designers and front-end engineers in creating, growing, and maintaining a design system, from inception to maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

* PPG UX, a team of designers, front-end developers, and (soon) UX researchers working on Protecting and Beautifying the World.
* Evangelize and measure the adoption of the design system across PPG
* Be curious, creative, friendly, and organized
* Systems thinker / information architect at heart
* Proud of your visual design skills and confident in your craft
* Versed in accessibility and universal design
* Great at succinct and engaging writing
* Open to constructive criticism, but also able to defend your work
* Thrive on collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment
* Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
* Interested in digital transformation and e-commerce

Qualifications:

* Experience creating, growing, and maintaining a successful design system
* Experience with atomic design
* An eye for identifying common web and native mobile design patterns
* Experience with common prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, etc.)
* High-level understanding of semantic HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* At least a bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience
* Have experience in B2B e-commerce- Preferred
* Have experience in a cross-functional team lead role Preferred
* Are familiar with and enthusiastic about Lean and Agile practices - Preferred
