The Law Department provides timely, efficient and business-focused legal services to the company. The Law Department's substantive legal activities generally fall in three categories: Litigation, Regulatory, and Contract and Corporate Services.
Position Summary
Provides operational financial support for PG&E's Legal Department. Performs audits of payments, contracts, and the department's database systems. Acts as a primary point-of-contact for internal and external client support to resolve contracts, invoices, and payment issues. Resolves all inquiries related to contracts, invoices, and payments. Audits records and ensures the resolution of all discrepancies and non- compliance procedures. Collaborates with attorneys to assess budgetary expenditures and provides support to financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
Job Responsibilities
* Audits and provides recommendations regarding recordkeeping and file maintenance
* Develops recommendations regarding the data integrity, conformance, and reporting of databases and information systems
* Reviews the auditing of records and provides resolution to escalated discrepancies and noncompliance procedures
* Ensures the timely and accurate completion of check requests and invoices for payment
* Evaluates and ensure the accuracy and completeness of records and data from databases and information systems
* Provides support to financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes
* Provides financial reporting and develops recommendations for attorneys
* May provide training, guidance, and instruction to lower job level legal accounting assistants
* Oversees the evaluation, analysis, and reconciliation of vendor contracts, invoices, check requests, orders, and Provider Cost Center (PCC) reports
Qualifications
Minimum:
* Bachelors Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
* Experience in accounting, or related, 2 years
* Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Desired:

* Ability to prioritize, plan and communicate activities and findings in both written and verbal form
* Interpersonal, influence and collaboration skills
* Experience working with SAP Financials
