Job Overview:
Responsible for the scheduling of inbound freight, communicating with carriers, vendors and merchants to ensure receipt integrity. Responsibilities also include keyrec generation, disposition and integrity for both manual and system generated keyrecs. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Appointment scheduling for incoming freight.
Pre-keyadding from carrier documents and provide disposition.
Identifying ASNs and 214s to maximize usage.
Notification of ASNs and 214s which may contain errors prior to receipt.
Prepare packages for the following days receipt.
Assist in the disposition of all keyrecs; manual and system generated.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Thorough knowledge of FSG systems including; FedFLO, receiving, purchase order, trailer management, ship notice, manifesting and accounts payable.
PC knowledge, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
At least one year of experience in a distribution center.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to set appointments and problem solve with vendors/carriers.
Must be able to follow directions.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
Reasoning Ability:
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions.
Physical Demands:
This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking.
May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
May involve moving or lifting items up to 25 pounds.
