As the AVP, Application Delivery Leader, you will inspire your team to build innovative experience and product apps through collective, rapid delivery . What you'll be doing?

* Leading and mentoring an amazing team of experienced software engineers to deliver solutions in support of an aggressively changing and improving business environment.
* Partnering with an industry leading business team to build innovative New Business applications and tools.
* Champion technology shift to include cloud, AI driven decisions, NoSQL supporting real-time transactions, and API services to support internal and externally managed capabilities.
* Leads the continuous improvements of a dynamic application team with development methodologies, DEVOPS tools and technics, and collaboration across diverse locations.
* Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.

What we're looking for?

Must Haves:

* 10+ years experience in application development that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
* Proven experience delivering on strategy with a sense of urgency, encouraging team members to challenge the norm and stretch themselves.
* Experience in delivery software solutions in a complex technology environment
* Leading large programs in a highly matrixed organization
* Proven experience organizing, motivating and inspiring growth across a team, effectively building succession.
* Experience in DevOps and Cloud Delivery
* Leading with Service based Architecture in an Agile Environment
* 4 Year/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to haves:

* Experience leading application development in the Life Insurance industry
* Experience leading technology transitions, for example the implementation of DevOps tools and methodology
* Experience with underwriting
