Acute Care Surgery/MIS/Surgical Critical Care
Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center is seeking an Acute Care Surgeon with a background in MIS or Surgical Critical Care to be an integral part of our Acute Care Surgery division. The applicant should have fellowship training in SCC or MIS and/or extensive experience in emergency general surgery. Education and surgery resident supervision are major components of the position. Our practice is dynamic, busy and with high patient acuity encompassing the entire depth and breadth of Acute Care Surgery.
Our division supports incorporation of robotic surgery for general surgery procedures. Additionally, research endeavors will be encouraged and supported, with the availability of clinician scientist awards, internal research grants, and departmental support. New faculty have opportunities for academic appointments at the Houston Methodist Institute of Academic Medicine, the Houston Methodist Research Institute, and Weill Cornell Medical College. Division leadership position possible based on candidates academic and practice experience.
