As the Quality Assurance Engineer - Firmware/Hardware, you will be responsible for:

* Work within the scrum team to enable built in quality
* Understand/contribute to Acceptance Criteria and Test Plan and Test Cases development for stories and verify the product/system against the same
* Work with System Architects to mitigate the architectural risks of the program in early phases & participates in design reviews to identify failure modes
* Derives Regression Test Strategy based on Impact Analysis of fixed defects
* Prepare Test Strategies for 3rd party integrations & dependent OS, browser, database compatibility tests
* Maintain QA Lab test infrastructure for security, performance/scale, usability testing of software products.
* Identify and forecast test setup hardware and software required for testing
* Develop the Test effort estimates & works together with the Project Lead to do Test Planning
* Develop automation test scripts for stories and effectively utilize them during regression to reduce cycle time and improve quality
* Identify Test Automation & Simulation requirements early in the life cycle & supports in execution of the same
* Verify qualify of products and solutions for Healthy Building Initiative, to improve air quality and space health
* Support in defining the test environments, develop test plans and test criteria for practical building environments to validate germicidal efficacy, life hazard and material degradation effects of different disinfection technologies
* Support and review the test execution done by global agencies and third-party labs
* Work with Program Managers & Product Managers or Product Owners to identify Beta Site requirements & supports in defect prioritization & release readiness reviews along with the Project Lead
* Interact with Information Development teams to give pointers on Technical Literature content development and is a critical reviewer of the same
* Provide debug support to Development Teams to identify root causes of defects
* Monitor release quality criteria and communicates unbiased product quality view to stakeholders to enable quality release of the product/system
* Guide and support other members of the team on technical aspects

YOU MUST HAVE

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
* 5 years of experience as a Developer, QA Engineer or similar QA role
* 3 years of experience in multi-disciplinary system testing that includes hardware, firmware network communication protocols (wired or wireless), and software

WE VALUE

* Good understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC
* Proficiency developing test plans, test cases, to qualify products and systems composed of hardware, firmware, and software elements
* Exposure to test management, defect tracking, performance test tools
* Experience with wireless protocols like Wifi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, etc.
* Experience on performance & load testing of software/firmware applications
* Experience with Test Automation tools like Test Complete
* Knowledge of Internet of Things
* Knowledge or experience with Building Management Systems and HVAC domain
* Knowledge of air filtration and disinfection technologies like UV-C, Ionization, Hydrogen Peroxide
