General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Engineer with strong background in application of SecDevOps.
The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program's complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program's lifecycle.
* This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated virtually on the Government's network infrastructure, and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.
For this effort, GDIT will follows agile development and SecDevOps practices to plan and manage cloud migrations for our customers in a secure and compliant manner. These practices enable our teams to best communicate with customers sensitive to the changes that cloud migrations brings since we give them transparency into each stage of the process. The tasks occurring within each of the framework components typically occur in an iterative, agile manner allowing for regular feedback and refinement throughout execution.
The Software Engineer will assist in the development, implementation, and tuning of secure management of user interfaces, workspaces, and dashboards. Under the direction of the Security Analyst and Cloud Architect, they will integrate cloud components, tools, and self-service portal into a seamless system ensuring the SecDevOps delivery pipeline.
During the migration of applications and the final migration to the Government DEE the Software Engineers will work closely with the team and client, ensuring smooth transition.
Required Skills include:
* Experience with virtual environments
* Experience with software-defined networking (SDN)
* Experience with software defined storage, including storage virtualization
* Experience with Terraform and Docker Nodes
* Familiarity with swapping technologies within a SDDC using native APIs
* Familiarity with government standards for security, identity, and data management
* Familiarity with modular and open systems architecture principles
* Familiarity with industry established standards for data exchange and interoperability
Desired Skills:
* Experience working in Agile teams
* Active DOD Secret Clearance
* Certification with cloud technologies

The likely salary range for this position is $90,400 - $135,600, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
