Description:
Working both independently and with supervision, the Income Tax Senior, International prepares federal and international tax returns, reviews transfer pricing documentation and assists with financial accounting for tax issues for all GameStop and affiliated business entities. The Income Tax Senior, International also assists with and participates in certain tax-planning projects. The principal business purposes for this role are to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and to minimize federal and international tax liabilities. This role interacts with a supervisor as frequently or infrequently as needed by either individual.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist with preparation of transfer pricing reports and documentation.
* Prepare federal and international income tax returns, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8991, 8992, 8975 and 1118.
* Prepare subpart F, section 956, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, foreign tax credit and related calculations.
* Assist with the preparation of income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including maintenance of deferred income tax assets and liabilities, tax positions under FIN 48 and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
* Research income tax issues and document findings.
* Assist with federal and international income tax audits.
* Help to ensure that Tax Departments Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are met.
* Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization and adhere consistently with all organizational policies related to our respectful workplace.
* Work collaboratively with others within and outside of his or her function to achieve goals, simply processes, reduce costs, prevent losses and ensure that work is completed safely, accurately and on time.
* Supervise and mentor junior team member(s).
BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
* Bachelors degree with an accredited program. Accounting, finance, or a related quantitative business field is required.
* 2 plus years of international income tax experience in a public accounting firm or US based multinational company required
* Working knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision and Tax Compliance required

* Proficient quantitative analysis skills, including the ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and report financial data.
* Demonstrated commitment to federal and state tax laws and regulatory and administrative requirements; adheres consistently to all professional accounting standards and practices.
