Senior Business Systems Analyst

Summary

Define business processes and system alignment. Translate business requirements into system definitions and solutions. Strategic partner, acting as liaison between the user community and the technical applications development staff (may include offshore staff). Resolve system problems to ensure customer processes run smoothly. Document business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, project status, etc. Implement system alignment with business processes.

Job Description

Essential Functions

* Manage highly complex and technical integration to ServiceNow for various vulnerability detection with industry tools such as Qualys, Veracode, or Tanium
* Serve as a technical subject matter expert and identify business systems requirements to provide to the development team. Needs to be able to effectively conduct whiteboard sessions and provide clear articulation of the business issues and effective solution design.
* Create documentation of business processes, training procedures, and standard operating procedures.
* Receives/identifies problem, researches alternatives, contributes to presentations, tests to confirm, and participates in implementing solutions for defined business processes.
* Develops new customizations with design, documentation, user acceptance testing and training.
* Creates and maintains a tactical and strategic roadmap
* Identifies business system requirements and related business/application solutions over a complete business process.
* Prepare reports summarizing vulnerability status and metrics to present to teams across the enterprise.
* Proactively works with customers to provide training, support, and guidance on the remediation of vulnerabilities.

Job Complexities

* Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and established policies and procedures.
* Troubleshoots a wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad application and functional expertise.
* Understands Information Security best practices and vulnerability remediation.

Supervision Received or Extended

* No formal responsibility for the supervision of others but may provide functional advice or training to less experienced team members
* Work independently with supervisory consultation
* Monitor project status. Mentor and advise other team members accordingly.
* Leverage a wide range of additional resources to explore/implement complex customized solutions

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

* Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform
* Working knowledge of Information Security related tools such as Qualys, Veracode, and Tanium
* Strong written and oral communication skills in order to define business and technical parameters and lead team to meet business requirements.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
* Must be highly analytical. Possess critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and drive appropriate solutions while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
* Solid working knowledge of standard features and functions of multiple applications/modules to field, analyze and resolve customer issues/problems.
* Ability to work effectively and accurately within time constraints
* Self-starter, self-motivated
* Experience facilitating meetings
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and teamwork skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Typical Education

Typically requires BS Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Range of Experience

Typically 4-8 years of directly related experience

License or Certification

CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification preferred
