The Director, Marketing Communications Center of Excellence for Food & Beverage is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications programs that drive business results and competitive differentiation in the areas of sales growth, customer retention, service excellence and overall internal/external communication of critical initiatives. The successful candidate will make recommendations for and execute the following: value proposition and customer message development, new product launch programs, digital communications, e-commerce, internal brand building / awareness, internal and external event coordination, objective setting, program planning, communications planning, tactics and tools development (project management), and measurement and evaluation of results.

As the leader of a Center of Excellence, it is insufficient to perform the functions described herein, but must also lead a team of marketing communications professionals to raise the capability level of the Food & Beverage Division in the realm of Marketing Communications. Specifically, cutting edge capabilities in every facet of marketing communication must be raised in the Division, especially in the areas of digital marketing, e-commerce, lead cultivation and qualification, SEO/SEM, content marketing, CRM, and campaign strategy/execution.

The position would report to the Vice President of Marketing, Food & Beverage, and be based in our St. Paul, MN office.

What You Will Do:

* Create and implement strategic marketing communication plans to meet annual business objectives, including both internal and external communications. Identify new and superior methods of communication.
* In conjunction with Sales and Segment Marketing teams, develop compelling business segment and customer-specific value propositions
* Integrate digital marketing across the business utilizing multiple platforms including SalesForce.com, HUB, SiteCore and Sales Support and make SEM & SEO recommendations
* Deploy creative, new-to-the-world, e-commerce demand generating campaigns
* Develop and implement comprehensive launch programs for key new product offerings targeting both external and internal audiences
* Implement strategic industry and customer event plans and trade shows for both F&B; global and regional enterprises.
* Develop and implement a standard and consistent approach for internal and external brand and communications initiatives including program launch support, advertising, public relations, trade shows, collateral, multimedia, web site programs, and incentives/contests
* Set Tradeshow strategy for F&B; North America, lead its coordination and execution and develop marketing material highlighting our solutions and promoting Ecolabs world-class service
* Spearhead sales enablement efforts including identifying gaps and designing new tools and assets to support sales associates in all phases of the sales cycle
* Expertly lead content campaigns to drive incremental volume, profit, and share and thereby extend the reach of the Field Sales Organization
* Assess the business proficiency in all facets of marketing communication and create a development plan to raise the game of marketing communications proficiency for the division
* Manage / lead cross-functional teams and outside agencies as an extension of the Center of Excellence where expertise is not resident or capacity lacking

This position requires a broad background in strategic branding and communications principles, creative writing, planning and tactical execution. The person in this role will work collaboratively with various Regions, Divisions and cross-functional teams to include marketing, sales, training, operations, sales support and R&D.;

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree
* Minimum 10+ years of marketing communications experience
* Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience, including ability to lead project teams
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), SiteCore, SalesForce.com and Marketing Cloud

Preferred Qualifications:

* MBA or Advanced technical degree
* Minimum 5+ years writing and editing experience - and specifically, strong creative writing skills
* Minimum 3+ years managing agency partners
* Expertise in the development and hands-on execution of internal and external integrated strategic marketing communications plans, including brand building, content development, digital marketing strategies, product launches, event planning and coordination, etc.
* Strong leadership, results-oriented and collaboration capabilities with ability to influence and negotiate
* Effective people management skills to effectively coach and train direct report(s)
* Innovative problem-solver
* Demonstrated expertise in building brand and consistently delivering brand experience across the organization
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding timelines
* Highly productive, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects at one time
* Budget management experience
