Job Description

. The Stationary Engineer position requires the following job requirements:

* Operate the refrigeration system and the facility service systems.
* Maintain, repair, clean, and monitor plant systems (boiler, water condensers, evaporators, compressors, dump traps, accumulators, strainers, sight glasses, filtration systems, air dryers, cooling /pumping towers, etc.) as required.
* Start-up wells, check liquid line solenoid valves, monitor equipment for leaks and spills, and clean as necessary.
* Lubricate motor pumps and bearings; change oil in pumps, gearboxes and compressors.
* Change gaskets, install filter bags, check crankcase heaters, remove sludge, maintain solenoid valves/strainers/ pressure regulators, bleed lines, and perform quality control checks as required.
* Maintain filtration systems as required.
* Assist all Trades with repairs, replacements, adjustments, modifications to equipment, machinery, wiring, piping, etc. as directed.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
* At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties, and complete all required paperwork.

The Stationary Engineer qualifications are the following:

* Must have a High School diploma or GED.
* Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
* Must be able to perform basic math problems.
* Must be able to read gauges and thermometers.
* Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
* Must have electrical troubleshooting experience.
* Must have computer experience.
* Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in industrial maintenance.
* Must possess a Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operators (CIRO) Certificate
* Must possess a High-Pressure Boiler Operators License from the State of Michigan
